Posting Messages
To post a message, send it to slisalumni-l@indiana.edu. Your message
will be sent to the moderator, who will release it to the mailing
list.
Guidelines
- Please use a descriptive subject line for all postings.
- Give your posting a full signature. Include your name, e-mail address,
title and institutional affiliation.
- Be brief. Keep messages short and to the point. Do not send long documents
to the list; instead, describe the document and give instructions for
retrieving it or offer to send it to those interested. For conference
announcements and job postings, send a brief message with an e-mail address for
further information.
- Do not send attached or encoded documents to the list.
- Send personal replies to the individual, not the whole list.
- Keep your postings within the scope of the list. The List should be used
for messages of professional interest to SLIS alumni. If your message is
outside this area of interest, it probably doesn't belong here.
- Forwarding: Messages originally appearing on SLISAlumni-L may be forwarded
to other lists or individuals as long as proper credit is given to the
author.
- The moderator will reject defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening,
offensive, or illegal material. Do not post any materials protected by
copyright without the permission of the copyright owner.
Termination
The moderator has the right to terminate access to any user who does not
abide by these guidelines.
